Two coats with a base coat. They have dried very quickly & are shiny without topcoat. The smell was different to normal polishes. I love the colour but it's slightly brighter & more blue than in the bottle, especially in sunlight.

Shopping in Boots

 Way back in July 2011 I decided to start my own version of Project 10 Pan and only buy a new cosmetic, skin care or beauty item when I have used up ten old ones. Almost two years later I am continuing with this and still only buy one new product for every ten used. Since the last time I went shopping I have used up over sixty old products so could buy six new ones today.

The best way to shop when you have a limited number of things to buy is when you get something for free and Boots still have the 3 for 2 offer across the high street ranges of cosmetic brands. So I got six makeup items and a conditioner this afternoon and, with the 3 for 2 offer, these only count towards five of the six things I could buy.

This may seem like a hassle, but it really helps me to control my spending on unnecessary things that just get added to a collection of other things I rarely use. This way I make sure I use something up before I either repurchase or try something new.

Anyway, onto today's purchases.

Soap & Glory conditioner, £5.50.

17 Photo Flawless Lashes mascara in Black Green, £5.99.

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints in Prickly Pear and Blueberry, £3.99 (one of them was a free item).

Bourjois Healthy Balance powder in 53 Light Beige, £8.49.

I have the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum and love it, so hopefully this is just as good.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush, £7.99.

Bourjois Effect 3D Gloss in 08 Framboise tonic, £7.69 (but was the other one of my free items). 

(BTW I love the way Boots do 3 for 2. If you're buying six items, they don't just give you the cheapest two free. They give you the cheapest out of the top three most expensive free and then the cheapest out of the next three.)

This has a brush applicator which I like.

I also love the way Boots let you mix brands in their 3 for 2.
We went into Superdrug straight after and they also had 3 for 2, but they only let you get the offer within the same brand.

Two coats but was opaque on the left hand after one. I just did two to neaten up the right as I'm not so good using my left hand.

This is a cool pink with blue and fuchsia micro-glitter.
